Small flowerbuds and leaves spice up salads, stir-fries, and anywhere else you’d want to use greens. Used for its zesty, mustard-like flavor in a variety of cuisine. Produces over a long period, rich in vitamins, very easy to grow. 40 to 50 days to maturity.

Availability: 100 in stock

SOWING: Sow from early to mid-spring and again in late summer through early fall. Cover seed with 1/4 inch fine soil.

SPACING: Space rows about 2 feet apart.

THINNING: Gradually thin to 8 inches apart, harvesting thinned greens.

GERMINATION: Approximately one week. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed’s Special Advice: Grows best in a sunny location in fairly rich, well-drained soil. Prefers the cooler parts of the growing season. Keep fairly well-watered during hot weather. Keep young buds and leaves picked for an extended harvest period. Great for fall crops.

SEED SAVING: Biennial, plants will flower and seed the second year. Isolate from other brassica while flowering. Gather seed pods when they’ve fully dried. Store in a cool, dry place.
