Large, frilly light green leaves on sturdy, upright plants. Use young leaves in salads for a mild mustard flavor. A relatively long standing variety. Its flavor is best during cooler weather on less mature plants. Approximately 40 days to maturity.

Approximately 300 seeds per packet.

Availability: 51 in stock

SOWING: Sow from early spring through fall. Cover seed with 1/4 inch fine soil. Sow at 2 week intervals for continued harvest.

SPACING: Space rows about 18 inches apart or closer if limited in space.

THINNING: Thin plants gradually to 6 inches apart in rows. Enjoy thinned greens in a salad.

GERMINATION: One to two weeks. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed’s Special Advice: Grows best during the cooler parts of the growing season but will take some heat. Harvest outer leaves when young for best flavor leaving inner leaves to grow out. Prefers fairly rich well drained soil kept somewhat moist.

SEED SAVING: Allow seed pods to fully ripen and dry before harvesting. Store in a cool, dry place.
