Aromatic and flavorful herb also known as coriander, Chinese parsley and dhania. It is used in a wide variety of different recipes, both for its flavorful leaves and its seeds. Uses include flavoring meats, soup, spicy dishes for the leaves, and pastries, pickles, and sausage for the seeds. Approximately 60 days to maturity.

Availability: 77 in stock

SOWING: Sow outside in sunny location in rich, well-drained soil, after danger of frost has passed. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep 1 inch apart; in rows 16 inches apart. Firm soil over seed.

THINNING: Thin plants to 8 inches apart when 3 inches tall; does not transplant well.

GERMINATION: 2 to 3 weeks depending upon soil warmth.

Ed’s Special Advice: Leaves may be picked sparingly as plant grows or more severely if growing for leaves only. Gather seeds as they ripen. Use whole or crushed. Leaves may be used chopped or whole, fresh or dried. Protect plants from wind.
