SOWING: Start seed indoors in early spring. Do not cover seed, but firm into soil with back of hand. Sow outdoors soon after all danger of frost has passed.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Indoors, thin seedlings to 2 inches when young seedlings are 2 inches tall. Outdoors space the young seedlings about 12 inches apart.
GERMINATIION: 7 to 10 days. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: Pick flowers for drying when they are open, but not fully mature. Hang stems upside down in cool well-ventilated spot to dry. Avoid over-watering during growing cycle. Grows best in light, well-drained soil in full sun.
