An outstanding garden annual. Attractive flower spikes have mild, pleasant fragrance. Ideal for garden color or as cut flowers. Easy to grow.

Availability: 73 in stock

SOWING: Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost or directly outdoors soon after last frost. Press seeds into soil with the back of the hand but do not cover seed. They need light to germinate.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Carefully thin and replant seedlings when they are about 2 inches high to individual pots or to desired garden spacing. Plant outdoors as soon as danger of severe frost has passed.

SPACING: Space seedlings about 8 to 10 inches apart for colorful display.

GERMINATION: Usually 10 to 14 days. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed’s Special Advice: Ideal to plant one seedling plant with your tomatoes. Fragrance of flowers attracts insects which will then pollinate the tomato flowers, increasing yield. Pick in late afternoon for longer lasting cut flowers. Place stems in mildly warm water, then arrange the following morning. Excellent to grow for cut flowers in greenhouses. Grows best in cool moist weather in well drained soil in mostly full sun with part shade.
