Squash – Crookneck, Hybrid Bush

An outstanding early variety of summer squash. Delicious tender fruits are easy to grow and quite prolific. Plants will bear butter yellow fruit continuously when regularly harvested at 5 to 6 inches long. Can be used steamed, raw, baked or fried. Approximately 45 days to maturity.

SOWING: Sow seeds directly in garden in May after weather has warmed and all danger of frost has passed. Plant seeds in mounds, sowing seeds 4 inches apart, 6 to 8 seeds per hill. Cover seed with 1/2 inch of fine soil.

SPACING: Plant about 6 to 8 seeds per hill, spacing hills 3 to 4 feet apart. Space rows 3 feet ap

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin or transplant to 3 healthiest plants per hill. Leave 18 to 24 inches between plants in row.

GERMINATION: One to two weeks depending upon weather and soil warmth. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

SEED SAVING: Hybrid, not recommended for seed saving.
