SOWING: Sow as soon as soil can be worked in spring. 40 degrees is ideal. Cover with 1/4 inch fine soil. Leave 12 to 18 inches between rows.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When seedlings are 2 to 4 inches high, thin to 12 inches apart.
GERMINATION: 1 to 2 weeks or more, depending upon weather. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: For first crop seed in earliest spring. Sow through early September for continuous harvest. Rich in vitamins. Spinach is ideal for salads, cooked greens and souffles. Easy variety to grow Spinach grows best during the cooler parts of the growing season. They also prefer a somewhat rich soil and to be kept fairly moist.
SEED SAVING: Hybrid, not recommended for seed saving.
