Petunia – Hybrida Choice Mixture

$1.99

Flowers bloom in a colorful mixture of white, pink, salmon-scarlet, dark blue, azure blue, and rose. Petunias are the most popular and widely used summer flowering annual. This multiflora variety is compact and holds up better to rain and water than larger flowering types. Excellent choice for beds, borders, planters, window boxes, and hanging baskets. Will bloom to frost.

SOWING: For earlier blooming, start seeds indoors in February or March. Sow seeds in starter mix in flats. Press seed into the soil with the back of your hand or cover with a piece of glass; do not cover seed with soil. Remove glass after germination. For later flowers, seed can be sown directly outdoors soon after danger of frost has passed.
TRANSPLANTING AND SPACING: Transplant seedlings at 3-4 leaf stage into individual pots and keep in bright place. Transplant individual plants outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Leave 8 to 12 inches between plants.
GERMINATINO: One to two weeks at 75° Fahrenheit. Light aids in germination. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed’s Special Advice: Plant petunias in a sunny location in moist, rich soil. Pinch back plants when 6 inches tall for bushier growth. Feed plants monthly and pinch back faded blooms for continued flowering.
