SOWING: Start indoors for quicker blooms or seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past. Cover seeds with 1/16 inch fine soil. Keeps soil warm and water with room temperature water.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Carefully thin or transplant young seedlings when two to three inches tall.
SPACING: Leave 10 to 12 inches between plants.
GERMINATION: One to two weeks indoors. Keep moderately moist during germination and until plants are established.
Ed’s Special Advice: Very easy to grow, select a sunny location with average garden soil. Water sparingly at base of plant once established. Overwatering or spraying the foliage can cause plants to rot. Combines well with other low growing summer annuals in flower beds.
