SOWING: Barely cover seeds with soil, firming them in with the back of your hand. Sow seeds directly outdoors in spring, after danger of severe frost has passed. Can also be started indoors for later transplant outside.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin or transplant seedlings 4 to 6 inches apart when about 2 inches high.
GERMINATION: One to two weeks depending upon weather and soil conditions.
Ed’s Special Advice: Grows best in a mostly sunny location with fairly fertile well drained soil, kept moderately watered. Ideally suited to cooler summer areas for maximum bloom period. Linaria can also be sown directly outdoors in the fall in mild winter areas.
