SOWING: Plant outdoors in late spring after weather has warmed and all danger of frost has passed. Sow seeds 2 to 3 inches apart, lay seeds on their side covering with 1 inch fine soil. Firm soil over seed.
SPACING: Leave about 2 feet between rows or plant in wide rows sowing seeds 4 to 6 inches apart in all directions.
THINNING: When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin 4 to 6 inches apart.
GERMINATION: 1 to 2 weeks depending upon soil and weather conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: French Beans grow best in a sunny location, where the soil is warm, loamy and lightly fertilized. For continued harvest sow French beans every two weeks until two months before first frost in fall. Water deeply by soaking soil. Plants do not require any staking or support.
SEED SAVING: Let bean pods dry completely on the plant. Remove from pods and store in a cool, dry place.

An excellent flavorful, very prolific, tender bean when harvested small. Once it forms noticeable seeds, it is not as tender. Froze well also. Liked it so well, that I planted it again this year.
