SOWING: Sow directly outdoors in late summer to early fall for blooms the following year. Cultivate soil and scatter seeds covering them with 1/8 inch fine soil.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin or carefully transplant seedlings 6 to 1 0 inches apart when plants are 2 to 3 inches high.
GERMINATION: 1 to 2 weeks depending upon weather and soil conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination period.
Ed’s Special Advice: Grows best in somewhat moist soil in filtered sunlight or partially shaded areas. Start seed indoors or in the greenhouse in late winter or earliest spring for possible blooms the first year. Lightly shear back plants after bloom period for possible later flowers.
