SOWING: Sow seeds directly outdoors after danger of serious frost has passed. Cover seeds with ‘/.-inch of fine soil. Continue successive plantings at roughly 3-week intervals through June for continuous color.
THINNING: When plants are about 2 inches tall thin to 8 to 12 inches apart. Does not transplant well.
GERMINATION. About 2 weeks at 68 F. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: Does best when sown directly outdoors in fairly sunny location. Allow soil to dry somewhat between waterings. Shear back flowers after blooming to encourage new growth. Can be sown in Fall in mild winter areas.
