SOWING: Barely cover seeds with 1/16″ fine soil firmed down. Sow from mid spring through mid summer in flats, pots or planting beds.
TRANSPLANTING & SPACING: Carefully transplant seedlings started indoors in early fall to permanent location. Thin or space seedlings 12 to 18 inches apart.
GERMINATION: Approx. 3 weeks, depending upon soil and weather conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: Plant in a mostly sunny permanent location that will remain undisturbed with rich well drained soil. Dead head expended flowers to extend bloom period. For longer lasting cut flowers, pick before petals open and sear stem end in flame. Allow foliage to die back in fall and winter.
