SOWING: Plant outdoors in summer for blooms the following spring. Barely cover seeds with fine soil. Seeds can also be started indoors in March to get a jump on the growing season.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When plants are about 3 inches high, thin or transplant seedlings to about a foot apart.
GERMINATION: Germinates in 3 to 4 weeks at 60° Fahrenheit. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: Grow in full or partial sun, in soil that is well drained. Difficult to transplant once established, so place in permanent spot. Lightly shear after spring bloom to keep plants bushy and looking their best.
