SOWING: Sow seeds indoors in early spring or seed directly outdoors early through late spring. Can be planted late summer through fall in mild winter areas. Barely cover seeds with 1/8 inch fine soil.
SPACING: Plant about 6 to 10 inches apart for best results.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin and transplant when seedling plants are 2 inches high. Transplant seedlings started indoors after they are well established and danger of serious frost has passed.
GERMINATION: Approximately 10 to 14 days. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed’s Special Advice: Plant in full sun or partial sun and shade. Select a spot where soil is well drained. Flowers can be dried in silica sand. Sow successive plantings at 2 week intervals for extended flowering.
