Extremely bright tri-color flowers that bloom from summer to fall. Easy to grow in beds and borders and works well for mass plantings, containers and cutting. An old-time favorite.

Special Directions for Short Season Climates

SOWING: Plant seed directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For earlier blossoms start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 3 inches apart and cover seed with fine soil firmed down.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When plants are 2 inches high, thin or transplant to 12 to 18 inches apart outdoors. Transplant seedlings started indoors outside after danger of frost has passed.

GERMINATION: 1 to 20 days at 68 F. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed's Special Advice

For bushier plants with more blooms pinch stem off above set of leaves when plants are about 6 inches tall. Plant in sunny location to light shade in fairly rich soil kept somewhat moist especially during hot weather.
