NICOTIANA (Flowering Tobacco) Daylight Sensation Mix Annual - One Season Plant - Height 30 to 36 inches Beautiful, fragrant star shaped flowers in shades of lavender, purple, rose and white growing from long stems. Easy to grow, it blooms throughout the summer until frost. Can be planted in flower beds as a back drop for lower growing annuals or by themselves in mass plantings or larger containers. Special Directions for Short Season Climates SOWING: Plant seed outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For earlier blooms start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. Firm seed into soil with back of hand. Do not cover seed with soil as it needs light to germinate. THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When indoor seedlings are 2 inches high, thin or transplant to 2 inches apart or pot individually. Space plants 12 to 18 inches apart outdoors. GERMINATION: 15 to 20 days at 70 degrees. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Can be grown full sun or partial shade. Some protection is better where summers are hotter. Prefers rich, moist well-drained soil. Makes good cut flowers, cut stems when blooms are fully open and place in water.
