Ideal for rockeries, edgings or alone in the landscape. Special Directions for Short Season Climates SOWING: Sow seed outdoors in spring after danger of frost has passed or later in summer. Cover seed with 1/8 inch fine soil. Can be sown indoors in early spring in flats or individual peat pots or again in fall in mild winter areas. THINNING, TRANSPLANTING & SPACING: When plants are about 2 inches high thin or carefully transplant to a foot apart. GERMINATION: 1 to 2 weeks. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Lightly shear back plants after blooming to keep plants neat in appearance and encourage possible later blooms. Sow seeds from summer through early fall for blooms the following year. Grows best in mostly sunny areas. Water deeply when dry and fertilize yearly in spring.
