THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When established seedlings are2 to 3 inches tall, thin or transplant them 8 to 12 inches apart.  Be generous with water and fertilizer when plants are 12-18" (30-45cm) tall.

GERMINATION: Usually 7 to 10 days. Keep seedbed moderately moist during germination.

Ed's Special Advice

Corn has best flavor when ears are light to medium yellow. To conserve space and for best pollination, plant in blocks made up of short rows, thinned to 8 to 12 inches apart in all directions. Fertilize and cultivate soil prior to planting. Harvest when silks turn brown. Test by piercing a kernel with thumbnail to see if it spurts a milky juice.  Honey Select retains its excellent sweetness and eating quality even 48 hours after harvesting.
