Pretty shell-pink single flowers, blossom on wispy stalks from late spring to mid summer. Makes nice cut flowers in the home garden. Easy to grow and quick to bloom from seed. Use towards the rear of flower beds and borders.
Special Directions for Short Season Climates
SOWING: Sow seeds directly outdoors from early spring after danger of severe frost has passed. Can be started indoors 2-3 weeks before planting outside. Transplant carefully and gently water seedlings.
THINNING & SPACING: When plants are about 2 inches tall thin to about a foot apart.
GERMINATION: 10 to 14 days depending upon soil and weather conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
Ed's Special Advice
Baby's breath grows best in a mostly sunny spot with poor to average well drained soil. Sow at 3 week intervals for continuous bloom throughout the summer. Pick cut flowers during cool part of the day. Allow soil to dry between waterings.
