Special Directions For Short Season Climates SOWING: Start seeds indoors in mid-spring for planting outside in late spring (6 weeks inside). Or plant outdoors after all danger of frost. Cover seeds with 1/8-inch fine soil. THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When 2 to 3 inches high, thin to 12 to 15 inches apart. Transplant thinned plants.
